Hi, I just happened upon your blog while researching Steelcase. My husband recently retired from the Navy, (he's 40 by the way) In this economy he's had quite a time securing decent employment. He has an interview in Highpoint at Steelcase this Thursday for a zone leader position. We've heard very good things concerning the company's stability, so we're really counting on this job. Do you have any tips or info that would be to his advantage for the interview?? We would so appreciate anything worthwhile you could tell us. Oh, and congrats on your baby and new job!

Thanks

Hello people, I was taking a look at some online guitar lessons. I am relatively new to guitar and don't maintain the $$ for private guitar lessons right away.
I have been browsing Learn to play Guitar and this course looks very good. Is this a good choice?

Vincent, yes definitely! I haven't ridden it as much as I had hoped to so far but part of that was due to not having all the commuting accessories. I think I'm about set now: added two trek/bontrager grocery bags plus a delta removable pouch (for lunch, keys, etc) on top of the rear carrier. I do notice considerably more resistance on this bike compared to my Jamis road bike... not sure how much of that is attributable to the 700x38c tires (vs 700x23c) or the shaftdrive (vs. chain). Either way, this is a great bike for commuting and joy riding. Several people at work have ordered after seeing/riding this and several more are considering...

Are you enjoying yours so far?

Thanks John. You are fortunate to have an attached garage so it probably stays somewhat cool in the summer thanks to shared walls, right? Do you have insulation in the exterior walls on that garage?

As for the heater, it's definitely underpowered for the size of the garage (576 sq ft x 8 ft ceilings). A general rule of thumb is 1000 watts per 100 sq ft.. and this is a 1500 watt heater so we'll see what happens. I'm just looking to heat to 40 degrees so hopefully it can muster that. Otherwise I'll have to run a 240v line out there.

Hey Chad - nice summer project! It's looking good so far.

Nice little heater too, although I'd need an AC unit instead.

Good luck with the rest!

Thanks for the info! I just purchased one of these today... are you still satisfied with it?

By the way, is that your car in the background? I also own a TT, and actually, I just posted a link to your blog entry on my Audi TT forum: http://forums.quattroworld.com/tt/msgs/20634.phtml. If you do own the TT, we'd love to see you on the forum... we're an experienced tight knit group and have lots of fun get-togethers.
